Hi Mike,

I have checked the shipping to Australia but can not find them,

my only worry about all this is the fact that on Mary Ann's death cert. it says she was 66 in 1899  which would make her born 1833 and she had been in Adelaide for 2 years and 47 years in Victoria which would mean she arrived about 1850 i have found a Mary James in 1850 age 17 to Victoria  which would put her born 1833

leave it with me for a while as i have found a Man on Family search who submitted information and his surname is Vigus from Victoria

i found his phone No.and left a messge so i m hoping he will ring me, failing that i will write to the address given on Family Search

trying all avenues, I will let you know if he rings,

again a big Thnk You,

ps: i love the photo of you and baby

Regards Patricia

Pat Not sure if you Know this But Census Details can be out as Much as 5 Yrs .

Now in England Not sure about Oz.

Women with the name Margaret are also Named Peggy.

So the peggy Vigus.Would have been Margaret Brown Vigus.

The name Varies Slightly .

But 100% sure your Family line.

Hello Mike

I can rule out the Winnan/James Family being mine because i found Mary Ann's death in 1924 so Towednack is not mine,

also the Chap rang me related to the Vigus Family, and he is going to go through his files and let me know if we are related, i really do not think this is my family

I have found a Richard James and Wife Margaret in 1841 &1851 census in Ludgvan all born i think it is Guval,

and on the 1851 census, their Mary is not with them  so this could be mine because Mary Ann came to Australia 1850

i looked up the Birth for Mary Ann for this family 1841 census and found she was Christened 1836

but i can not find marriage for this Richard and Margaret, i have found Richards birth 1791  father John and his parents were living next door in the 1841 census

so will keep researching and hope i find something positive

Thank You for all your help

Regards Patricia

Hi Pat,Thanks for the Email.Really glad it all worked out and you found them in oz.

I had a feeling they moved there after 1844.

So you letting me Know you found the Will comfirmed my Thoughts.

Also if any one else needs same family.

At least we Know its in the victorian Records.

Hello Mike,

Once again thank you for all the information you have found for me this is great now i have the Brothers and sisters of Peggy Vigus,

also just to let you know, Samuel Phillips & Peggy/Margaret came to Australia in 1849 to South Australia and then to Victoria in 1852

I have found their wills & probate records, and Mary Ann James/Maddox is mentioned in Samuel's will Peggy died 1869 In Victoria and Samuel remarried in England in 1870 to a Sarah Higgott and returned to Australia Samuel died 1882

and Mary Ann James/Maddox died 1889 i also have her will & probate Mary Ann James first married John Treloar 1853 Forest Creek Melbourne i have received their marriage certificate,

John died 1854, and they had a daughter Mary Ann Treloar born 1854 she was 4 months of age when John died, Mary Ann James/Treloar second marriage was to William Maddox 1855 (MY GG Grandparents)

I have also been in touch with living relatives from John Treloar and now have a large tree on the Treloar Family  John's Parents etc

so i am so Gratefull to you because i would never have all this information without your help

Thank you so much

Best Regards

Patricia
